Join the ‘Defend LSBU! Defend our Education!’ campaign, LSBU Students’ Union and all students to march against higher education cuts. This is an attack on the chances of all those who aspire to go to University. So again we tell them: ’We won’t take your cuts!‘.
Join us for a rally on Keyworth Street, London South Bank University and then march to the national demonstration ‘Fund Our Future: Stop Education Cuts’ called by National Union of Student (NUS) and the Universties and Colleges Union (UCU). This is a joint national demonstration on 10th November in protest against the staggering education cuts which are taking place.

We will be rallying at LSBU first – we haven’t forgotten what management have been doing at OUR university.
Just in case you missed what is going on under our noses:
- The Browne Review on tuition fees recommends removing the cap on fees so Universities can charge what they want, it also recommends significantly increasing interest rates we pay on tuition fee loans.
- Higher education will be cut by 40 per cent over four years, suggesting that public funding for teaching in the arts, humanities and social sciences may come to an end.
- Education Maintanance Allowance (EMA) for the poorest students scrapped.
- LSBU has scrapped emergency loans for students and shut our language centre.
Students First? Come off it!
Assemble on Keywoth Street, 10am, Wednesday 10th November. Students, lecturers and other university staff together with local people.
